This page contains information to help you identify the most appropriate pathway and submit your application to continue your training with us as smoothly as possible.
You are here, as you have submitted an expression of interest form from our webpage or have contacted us directly. Feel free to pass this onto other students who may not have found that page yet.
Please read the following information carefully and once you are happy with your selection, complete the application form at the bottom of the page.

Application Process
We understand this may feel like an unsettling situation, and we’ve structured this process to give everyone a clear and equal opportunity to apply. If you are not allocated a place initially, you will be held on a waiting list in case spaces become available.
If you are offered a place:
A deposit is required to secure your place and details will be included in your confirmation email
Deposits must be received by the date on the application form
You will receive a confirmation when your deposit is received as soon as possible but within a maximum of 5 working days.
Please note: your place is only confirmed once your deposit has been received. If payment is not received by the required date, your place will be offered to the next applicant.
If something doesn’t work as expected
If you experience a technical issue submitting the form, please email us immediately at getintouch@stepbystepcounsellingtraining with the subject line ‘Application Form Issue’.
Please avoid emailing us for any other reason, unless it is really necessary, so we can deal with this process as efficiently as possible. We are a small team who need to meet the needs of our existing students as well as our new and very welcome students. Thank you.
We will take into account any technical glitches and be as fair as possible.
Previous Training Days
Whilst we will do our best to accommodate your previous training days at Iron Mill, this cannot be guaranteed. We have carefully built a timetable that balances existing Step by Step groups, alongside those joining us from Iron Mill and we look forward to welcoming you into our fold.
Interest
Due to the high level of interest, it will take time for us to process the applications, so do bear with us during this time whilst we collate information and communicate with you all. We hope this process will be as stress-free as possible and we are here to support you every step of the way. Our main aim is to help you continue quality studies as cost-effectively as possible and with support.
Space
Although we have less physical space than Iron Mill, we’ll accommodate as many students as we realistically can.
We know that some students may wish to stay with their original cohort or continue studying on the same day as before. However, to keep the application process clear, fair and manageable, we’re not asking students to tell us which cohort they were previously in or which day they used to attend.
Instead, we’re asking each student to apply for the course or pathway they now need, using the application form.
This also means you’re not expected to remain with the same cohort or study day. If another option now works better for you, you’re welcome to apply for that instead.
Tutoring
At Step by Step, we are committed to providing high-quality, professionally held training.
Please note that, depending on the course or pathway you apply for, your tutor may be either a Step by Step tutor or an Iron Mill tutor. This may not necessarily be a tutor you have worked with previously.
We’re still confirming tutor availability and will let you know as soon as we have this finalised.
