We provide professional counselling training and continuing professional development courses.

By using this website or enrolling on one of our courses, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Applications and Enrolment

Our training programmes are professional routes into counselling practice and require careful selection.

All places are subject to:

• Completion of an application process
• Interview where appropriate
• Assessment of readiness and suitability
• Agreement to uphold professional and ethical standards

A place is confirmed once written acceptance has been issued and any required deposit has been received.

3. Course Fees and Payments

Course fees are clearly stated at the point of enrolment.

Payment may be made in full or via an agreed instalment plan.

By enrolling, you agree to meet the agreed payment schedule. Full details of payment arrangements are provided during the enrolment process.

Certificates will only be issued once all fees have been paid.

4. Deposits and Withdrawals

Deposits secure your place on a course and are non refundable unless we cancel the course.

If you choose to withdraw before the course begins, refunds may be issued in accordance with the enrolment agreement.

Once training has commenced, fees are generally non refundable due to the commitment of teaching resources and group places.

If exceptional circumstances arise, we encourage early communication so that we can consider options where appropriate.

5. Professional Standards and Conduct

Counselling training is experiential and relational. It involves personal reflection, skills practice and professional development.

Students are expected to:

• Attend and participate consistently
• Treat others with respect
• Maintain confidentiality within the training group
• Meet academic and attendance requirements
• Adhere to safeguarding and professional standards

We operate a Fitness to Practise process where concerns arise regarding professional conduct, wellbeing, or suitability for training. Our priority is always ethical practice and client safety.

6. Changes to Courses

We aim to deliver all courses as described. However, we reserve the right to make reasonable adjustments to content, scheduling, or tutors where necessary.

If a course is cancelled prior to commencement, all fees paid will be refunded.

7. Intellectual Property

All course materials, resources and website content remain the intellectual property of Step by Step Counselling Training LLP.

Materials may not be reproduced, shared or recorded without written permission.

8. Website Use

The information on this website is provided for general guidance. While we aim for accuracy, we do not guarantee that content will always be current or uninterrupted.

9. Limitation of Liability

We take reasonable care in delivering our training and services.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
